Firstly, welcome to OnTrack Physiotherapy in Sale. I should really introduce myself. I'm Marcus. I am a Lancashire/Cumbria lad but now consider myself an adopted Mancunian after settling here for University 12 years ago. I don't like to define myself as a runner but it has become a big part of my life and I now run with Sale Harriers. You can follow my progress on strava. Having played football all my life, I have only taken running more seriously in the past few years. When I'm not clocking miles you'll find me spending time with my wife (Niamh) and my dog (Forest).
For years, I had dreamed of opening my own sports physio clinic sale. The concept of OnTrack first took shape approximately a year ago. Juggling the demands of a full-time position in the NHS, I wanted a change. Coincidentally, during that period, my friend Mike, a naturally entrepreneurial fella, was living with us in our Manchester apartment. Known for his constant flow of business concepts, he had previously designed a logo that he had set aside as it did not align with his existing business ventures. Upon sharing my vision for a physio clinic with him, he presented me with this sleek and professional logo, which cleverly incorporated a running theme. And thus, OnTrack was born.
We found our clinic location in Sale, Cheshire. We have a large, spacious clinic room above a gym which gives our clients access to state of the art strength and conditioning facilities. Coincidentally, the clinic was adjacent to Crossford bridge running track where I train and has facilitated OnTrack in helping Sale Harriers athletes with member discounts and free at the point of access physio for Junior runners in financial hardship. We are passionate about helping local clubs and teams in the Sale and Manchester area and have also set up member discounts with Sale Dragons Running club and Apex Coaching Gym members. Please contact us if you would like to discuss physiotherapy and sports massage discounts for your members.
Safe to say the past 12 months have been turbulent and exciting in equal measure. I would not recommend setting up a new physiotherapy clinic, training for an ultra marathon and completing a masters module at university alongside your normal full time NHS job... but we got there (I think). I emphasise the word 'we'. Despite the fact I am the face of the business and sole physiotherapist, there are a number of people who have contributed to OnTrack Physiotherapy's opening. Firstly, Paul Shepherd Wellbeing for believing in myself before I did and giving me the confidence and tools to undertake this project. Secondly, my parents (Pete and Jill) for their hands on work in setting up the clinic. The work on the clinic room went smoothly apart from an incident where I ended up in A&E following an attempt at smashing up a worktop with a sledge hammer - that's a story for another day. Mike Fort for his entrepreneurial prowess and his work on our logo. Lastly, My wife, Niamh for always supporting my daft ideas and telling me when my ideas are too daft.
OnTrack Physiotherapy is looking forward to welcoming you to our Sale clinic. For those further afield or who cannot make it into clinic we also provide home visits and virtual consultations where you will still receive OnTrack Physio's high quality care. We aim to provide excellence throughout all our services including physiotherapy, sports physio, sports massage, acupuncture and strength and conditioning.
Best wishes,
Marcus.
