Marcus Nicholson BSc, MSc, HCPC
Chartered Physiotherapist
Marcus is a dedicated Physiotherapist specialising in musculoskeletal pain and sports injuries. His expertise lies in creating personalised treatment plans for athletes and individuals looking to improve their health and performance.

​After gaining a first-class degree in Sports Rehabilitation from the University of Salford, Marcus spent two years working as an Exercise Rehabilitation Instructor with the Ministry of Defence. Following this invaluable experience, he then went on to study a Master’s Degree at Teesside University to become a fully qualified Physiotherapist.
​
​​Currently employed as a First Contact Physiotherapist at Manchester Foundation Trust, he has previous roles in musculosketetal, paediatrics and elderly care. This diverse background has allowed me to treat a wide range of conditions with extensive understanding in sports injuries.
​
​​​When not at the clinic, you can usually find him running, cycling or hanging out with wife, Niamh, and dog, Forest. As a competitive ultra runner and 2.36 marathoner, Marcus understands the demands of training and competing at a high level. Having a fair share of injuries himself, he can truly empathise with clients who are unable to do their usual activities. Marcus has a passion for getting you back OnTrack through no-nonsense, high quality care.

TOM POTTER BSc, HCPC
Chartered Physiotherapist
Tom is a highly skilled musculoskeletal physiotherapist with a background in both NHS and elite sport settings. He graduated with a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Nottingham and has since developed a broad, clinical skill set through rotational NHS roles and high-performance sports environments. ​Tom has extensive experience assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, post-operative rehabilitation, and complex medical presentations.
​
Alongside his work at OnTrack, Tom works at St Helens Rugby League Football Club, supporting professional rugby league athletes in a demanding elite-performance environment. This role further strengthened his expertise in sports injury management, return-to-play rehabilitation, strength and conditioning principles, and pitch-side care.
​
Tom takes a person-centred, holistic approach to physiotherapy, combining thorough assessment with clear education and tailored rehabilitation plans to help patients achieve long-term outcomes.
​
Outside of OnTrack, Tom is a high-level competitive runner, with Salford Harriers, with personal bests of 15:13 for 5km and 32:27 for 10km. His own athletic experience gives him a first-hand understanding of training demands, performance optimisation, injury prevention, and effective recovery strategies.
