Meet Your Coach
​
Marcus is a UK Athletics-qualified coach in running fitness. With his background in physiotherapy, specialising in running related injuries and performance, Marcus brings added experience to his coaching. He is passionate about creating robust, high performing athletes who fulfill their potential. Coaching at OnTrack is about more than a running plan. We provided access to professional physiological & performance testing, state of the art strength and conditioning facilities and trusted physiotherapy services.

EXPERIENCED
Marcus knows what it takes to make real progress. He has competed to a high level from 5K up to ultra marathon distance, across road and trail. He is a member of the coveted Bob Graham Club, having completed a successful round in 2022. Through self-coaching and disciplined, structured training, he improved his own marathon time from 3:10 to 2:31. This personal journey drives his coaching philosophy; combining practical experience with evidence-based methods to help others reach their potential.
COLLABORATIVE
Having a coach isn’t one directional relationship. We believe great things happen by working together. A collaborative approach is essential from building a training plan to post race debrief. When you join OnTrack Performance, you are joining a team. You won't just benefit from your coaches expertise but the experience of like-minded runners. We also collaborate with sports med doctors, sports pyschologists and nutritionists, ensuring this highest standards of training and health.
EVIDENCE BASED
Our coaching is backed by science. Where possible training plans are informed by data with strength, gait analysis, and physiological testing. With this rise in running participation, equipment, training techniques and races are evolving faster than ever. We pride ourselves on staying up to date with the latest research to ensure our athletes training plans are optimised.
BESPOKE
We guarantee our training plans are always fully bespoke and built from scratch based around your lifestyle and goals. Getting to know you as a person as well as a runner in a detailed initial consultation allows us to build a plan for success and sustainability. If you want a generic training plan that gets you to the finish line of your next event, there's an abundance of those online.
